I recently took a workshop on how to make a Japanese box with a hinged lid. The workshop was held at Cloud 9 Art School, taught by the talented Deb Wachel.

I took pictures along the way. Here they are. You can see the process and my final product. I was pretty tickled with that. I’ll be making more of these boxes! (Deb is teaching this again in a few months. If it looks like fun to you, don’t wait to register. It’ll fill up for sure!)

It was a really great way to spend a few hours with a group of other women, all excited to be making and creating.
