Understanding Watercolor Supplies

June 22, 2020 Charlene Freeman

One of the best things about being an artist is exploring art supplies. But if you don't know what you are looking for, it can be overwhelming.

I spend a lot of time answering questions about art supplies in my watercolor workshops so I decided to put together this video to cover basic information about: watercolor paper, watercolor brushes, palettes, watercolor paints and some miscellaneous studio supplies I use all the time.

For a list of my personal favorite watercolor supplies, click here.

In the video, I reference a PDF document available for free download on www.dickblick.com. The PDF describes brush shapes and uses and you can download it here.

I hope you find this information helpful and I wish you happy painting!
