This week I led a watercolor summer camp for 9 - 12 year olds. What a great way way to spend my days. So much creativity, curiosity and fun. Here are some of the moments we shared.
We learned about how to paint different values of each color. We learned about painting wet-into-dry and wet-into-wet. We painted feathers as book marks, blue herons, and lions.
We also made color mixing charts and learned how to use a color wheel.
One of the most complicated paintings we created was a scene from Pike Place Market. This was an ink and watercolor project. These young artists were absolutely patient and absorbed in the process. A real joy to see!
Loved this summer camp!
