The Business of Being an Artist

The Business of Being an Artist.jpg

I frequently get asked questions about how to turn a passion into a career. It's been a process of learning: there is the legal side of it, the accounting, the marketing, and even just the puzzlement over how a passion can generate money.

In response, I have created this six week workshop:

The Business of Being an Artist

Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm
October 18 - November 22

$175

This workshop sheds light on the business side of being an artist. Designed to help artists answer questions about how to turn their passion into a career.

  • How do I know if my art is good enough to enter shows?
  • How do I pursue my passion for art beyond a hobby?
  • How do I create an online presence?
  • What goes into an artist's website?
  • Do I need insurance?
  • How do I price my work?
  • How do I grow my business?

It's a myth that artists can set up a studio and spend all their time there, creating great work until they get discovered.

Bring your laptop or desktop computer.

Bring your questions.

Bring your ideas.

I will share information about my journey and give you suggestions, advice, and hands on experience for turning your passion into more than a hobby.

Space is limited! To register, please go to my Workshops page.
