Let’s paint this lively hummingbird dancing on a tree stump!
After I receive your registration, I will email you the reference photos for this project so that you can print them out before class and instructions to get your drawing done before class.
The invitation link to join the class on Zoom will be sent to you around 9:45am on the day of our class, 15 minutes before class starts. Have your reference photos printed out and your supplies set up. We will jump right in.
All skill levels welcome.
Below is the list of supplies I used for this painting. Feel free to use your own favorite supplies if you prefer.
Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper 300 lbs (18 x22 in.,/46 x56 cm.)
Pencil (2 H or lighter is best) and kneaded eraser
Watercolor brushes. I used: a Black Gold 311 Size 000, a Princeton Heritage Series 4050 Round Size 2, a Micro Mini Pointed Round Size 10/0, and an Angled Scrubber
Water, water container and paper towels
Daniel Smith watercolor paints
Hansa Yellow Light
Transparent Pyrol Orange
Quinacridone Purple
Phthalo Blue (Green Shade)
Indigo
Manganese Blue Hue
Phthalo Turquoise
Sap Green
Green Grold
