I offer watercolor, drawing, and sketchbook classes for adults, children and teens in addition to monthly sketchbook field trips and wine & watercolor parties throughout the Seattle area. I also offer international workshops and tours as well. Some focused on sketching, others focused on art history, food, wine, wellness and the good life. Come join me!

Lessons are designed to help students gain confidence and experience with developing watercolor and drawing skills and encourage a sketchbook habit. Lessons are tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of each student.

I believe that through art and play adults and children alike are able to understand their world and to establish connections to different areas in their life. Through art we are better able to understand and appreciate the world around us. I am passionate about my own work as an artist and I bring that enthusiasm to my teaching.

February 26 Sketchbook Field Trip

The February sketchbook field trip is on Wednesday, February 26 1pm - 3pm and we will sketchatthe wonderful Red Sky Gallery located at 17171 NE Bothell Way, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155.

Come join me at one of the best galleries around. There is so much to see and sketch at Red Sky Gallery. We will have tables and chairs set up in the classroom area where we can sketch comfortably for two hours. We can sketch the galleries displays and so much artwork, jewelry, home decor. There is a lot of free parking and lovely shops and restaurants.

I will demo one of my favorite sketching techniques, contour drawing in ink with a watercolor wash. Participants are welcome to wander off and find their own favorite subjects to sketch. For the last 15 minutes of our field trip, we will gather around and have a show and tell.

Parking is free.

Learn how to get in the habit of sketching your world. Each field trip ends with a “show & tell” session where we can all share our sketches.

All skill levels welcome.
