Workshops

I offer watercolor, drawing, and sketchbook classes for adults, children and teens in addition to monthly sketchbook field trips and wine & watercolor parties throughout the Seattle area. I also offer international workshops and tours as well. Some focused on sketching, others focused on art history, food, wine, wellness and the good life. Come join me!

Lessons are designed to help students gain confidence and experience with developing watercolor and drawing skills and encourage a sketchbook habit. Lessons are tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of each student.

I believe that through art and play adults and children alike are able to understand their world and to establish connections to different areas in their life. Through art we are better able to understand and appreciate the world around us. I am passionate about my own work as an artist and I bring that enthusiasm to my teaching.

December 11 Sketchbook Field Trip

The December sketchbook field trip is Wednesday, December 11 from 10am - 12pm.

We will sketch at Looking Glass Coffee downtown Snohomish.

Looking Glass Coffee, located in the historic Eagles Hall building (circa 1910) on 1st Street in downtown Snohomish, is a coffee shop, pub, live music/event venue, gift shop, and community gathering place. And it has a Victorian living room feel!

Let’s grab a coffee and a treat, sit down and sketch. There is a lot to sketch, from the comfortable couches and arm chairs to board games, the retail section with gifts and souvenirs, treats and people. Weather permitting, you can stroll downtown Snohomish afterwards.

Participants are welcome to wander off and find their own favorite spot to sketch. For the last 15 minutes of our field trip, we will gather around and have a show and tell.
