Workshops

I offer watercolor, drawing, and sketchbook classes for adults, children and teens in addition to monthly sketchbook field trips and wine & watercolor parties throughout the Seattle area. I also offer international workshops and tours as well. Some focused on sketching, others focused on art history, food, wine, wellness and the good life. Come join me!

Lessons are designed to help students gain confidence and experience with developing watercolor and drawing skills and encourage a sketchbook habit. Lessons are tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of each student.

I believe that through art and play adults and children alike are able to understand their world and to establish connections to different areas in their life. Through art we are better able to understand and appreciate the world around us. I am passionate about my own work as an artist and I bring that enthusiasm to my teaching.

April 3 Sketchbook Field Trip

The April sketchbook field trip is Thursday, April 3 1pm - 3pm.

We will sketch at the Seattle Art Museum, downtown Seattle.

Admission is free on the first Thursday of every month. Yah!

There are sculptures, jewelry pieces, coins, antiquity and modern art to sketch. Lots to take in. Let’s go copy the masters!

Bring your sketchbook and pencils. Inside the galleries only pencils are allowed (no ink, no paint, no liquids).

Upon registration I will send info with more details, including suggestions for parking.

Learn how to get in the habit of sketching your world. Some field trips will include lessons and demos and sometimes we will meet at a location and just dive into sketching. Each field trip ends with a “show & tell” session where we can all share our sketches.

All skill levels welcome.

Once a month I schedule a sketchbook field trip. Email me to be placed on my “Sketchbook Club” list and each month I will email you the date, time and location for that month’s field trip. Registration is $20/field trip.
