Workshops

I offer watercolor, drawing, and sketchbook classes for adults, children and teens in addition to monthly sketchbook field trips and wine & watercolor parties throughout the Seattle area. I also offer international workshops and tours as well. Some focused on sketching, others focused on art history, food, wine, wellness and the good life. Come join me!

Lessons are designed to help students gain confidence and experience with developing watercolor and drawing skills and encourage a sketchbook habit. Lessons are tailored to the age, skill level, and goals of each student.

I believe that through art and play adults and children alike are able to understand their world and to establish connections to different areas in their life. Through art we are better able to understand and appreciate the world around us. I am passionate about my own work as an artist and I bring that enthusiasm to my teaching.

After I receive your registration, I will email you the reference photo for this project so that you can complete your drawing before class. In class, we will focus on painting.

The invitation link to join the class on Zoom will be sent to you around 9:45am on the day of our class, 15 minutes before class starts. Have your supplies set up and we will jump right in.

All skill levels welcome.

Below is the list of supplies I used for this painting. Feel free to use your own favorite supplies if you prefer and to paint this at whichever size you prefer.

Arches 300 lbs cold press watercolor paper 9.5 x 13 in. / 24 x 33 cm.

2H Pencil

Kneaded eraser

Watercolor Paints are all Daniel Smith

Sap Green

Green Gold

Buff Titanium

Burnt Sienna

Indigo

Brushes are all round brushes, Black Gold, 311 series. I used the 000, 0, 2. 4 and 6. I don’t use all of these brushes for this painting. The size of brush you use depends on how large you are painting.
