The Artist's Way workshops are based on one of my favorite books about creativity, Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way.
This workshop is really about how to grab your creative life by the lapels... because sometimes it's hard to know how to even begin... Apologetically? Enthusiastically? What if this... What if that?!
And although the workshop is in the context of being creative, it is really about living a full, passionate and authentic life.
I first came across this book in the early 1990s, when the only way I could bring myself to look at the possibility of being a full time artist was sideways. Like most people I know who have The Artist's Way on their bookshelves, I only made it through the first few chapters (several times). But luckily I circled back to it over and over again. Eventually I committed to reading it and working through the suggested exercises. It's transformative.
Many of you have asked when I would teach The Artist's Way workshop again. My teaching and travel schedule is too full for 2017 so rather than put it off a year, I have asked my friend, the talented Julie Nierenberg, to take over these workshops for me. Julie is a personal life coach (https://www.trueyouachieved.com) and has participated in several of my workshops, including The Artist's Way workshop. Now I am working with her to bring you the next Artist's Way Workshop. Yah!
The next workshop will be held at her welcoming home in Bothell on Wednesdays 6pm - 8pm, starting on March 22, running for 10 weeks.

This Artist's Way workshop is based on The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron which takes students through a 12 week course to explore their inner creativity, or, in Julia Cameron’s own words “to teach people to process and transform life through acts of creativity… it is our human birthright and something we can do gently and collectively. Creativity is like breathing - pointers may help, but we do the process ourselves.” The material covered explores ways to tap into our creativity as well as ways to nurture ourselves. The tools of the program are practical, inspiring and approachable. Even if you don't see yourself as an artist, the workshop will help you get in touch with your creativity, your passions, and your dreams for your life. The 12 week workshop follows the 12 chapters of Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined.
